Highway 16 (Yellowhead) West from Edmonton or East from Kamloops.
North from Banff along Highway 93 (Icefields Parkway) via Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada) West from Calgary or East from Kamloops.
If you aren't travelling by road, we suggest the original experience TRAIN TRAVEL! (Well, actually on foot, by dog team or in canoe was the original, but barring that...)
